Pastor Andrew takes us to Acts 11. The gospel has now gone to the Gentiles, and the church is struggling to make sense of God's plan. And yet, lives are being transformed in a way that no one can deny. Do our lives reflect the change the gospel offers? Does the name Christian make sense when applied to our lives?
Antioch is where we first see those who are following in the way of Jesus called Christians. To bear the name Christian is to be a devoted follower of Jesus above all else, and the same is just as true today as it was then. The question before us is, are we rightly ordering our lives to put Jesus above all else, or are we letting our religious, political, or vocational labels take precedence over bearing the name of Jesus?
